Hello and about me

Hello fellow Crafters! I’m Terri, or Veegstez Creates in the Crafty Community and I am delighted to have joined the Robin’s Nest Creative Design Team. As such I get to play with pretty shiny goodness and therefore bring you lots of different types of crafty inspiration!

My first piece of crafty inspiration for you

For my first project, I thought I would start off with a quick and easy Christmas Card Tutorial, as for us Crafters, Christmas tends to start in July!

The Dew Drop Range

The Robin’s Nest Creative has such an amazing choice of Dew Drops or gems! As a result you have many many options with which to embellish all of your crafty makes. They come in various shapes and sizes and as you can see in the photograph below, including every possible colour you could think of!

Supplies required

In my mind, it’s good to use what you have in your stash to prevent it from overtaking your house! Therefore, you don’t need to use the same supplies as I did. You will see what I mean in the basic supplies list below. Plus of course, your choice of colour scheme would impact on your choice of Dew Drops. One of my favourite colour combinations is green/aqua/teal type colours with purple/lilac. As a result, this card is very much a typical Terri make!

Heavyweight card stock for the base (around 300gsm/120llbs), an edger die (I used a Christmas one, but any edger die would look gorgeous on this simple style of card and does most of the work for you!), Die-Cutting Machine, scissors, glue with a precision nib to apply your Dew Drops, a sentiment die or stamp for the front of the card and a piece or pretty coloured paper, vellum or patterned paper for the inside of the card.

Which Dew Drops?

There are so many beautiful Dew Drops to choose from, but the ones I used on the card are a pale purple/lilac colour, which I think might come in the Easter Dew drops collection: https://therobinsnestcreative.com/product/easter-dew-drops/?affiliates=16 and the Orchid Dew Drops (which are all shades of purple)  https://therobinsnestcreative.com/product/orchid-dew-drops/?affiliates=16

There is a short YouTube Video Tutorial, which shows you the full process of how I made this pretty card, which you can watch here:
