Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well. First of all I’d like to wish all the amazing ladies out there a happy women’s day! Today I am back to share a mix media frame that I’ve embellished with dew drops!

Let’s take a closer look at it!

I initially wanted to create a mixed media piece for decoration using dry flower bouquet and a jar. So, I started out by stencilling the sides of the rectangular die cut panel using some gold acrylic paint. Following that, I hot glued down a bunch of dry flowers, the hot glue was visible, to cover that I wax sealed on top of that using some gold wax beads.

Then I took out the frame die cut I got as a happy mail and painted it giving it a distressed look, again, using gold acrylic paint. Then I layered it onto a wood pattern paper and added a frame embellishment with golden mirror paper backing.

Later I attached both these panels onto a 8 inch by 12 inch patterned paper, and added Burnt Umber Diamond Dew Drops and the light vanilla dew drops and brown mini dew drops from Dark Vanilla Dew Drops assortment. The products are linked below, so don’t forget to check them out!

Finally I added some doily corners on my patterned paper, and matted it onto a slightly bigger golden mirror paper. After that I added my printed sentiment after distressing the edges with golden acrylic paint.

To make the frame, I cut out a pvc frame and painted it using gold acrylic paint. Then I decorated it using dew drops.

Hope you liked this, it was a pleasure to create so many things using dew drops during my term with The Robin’s Nest Creative,  I got to try different forms of crafts and had fun experimenting. These dew drops have been a life saviour in some projects, they add a whole new look to everything.

Till now it has been Foo the Craft-paca bringing you new inspirations, if you liked them, don’t forget to check them out at The Robin’s Nest Creative!
