It often matters more that “What you give” than “How you give”… Be it even a simple “Thanks”, make it special with a handcrafted card 😊
Hello dear crafters! Rumana here once again with a Vintage Thank-you card with water-colored textured background, embellished with Fairy Dust Dew Drops….. Hope you enjoy the detail!!!

Here’s what I’ve used to make it!!!

  1. A 7″ x 10″ white card base, folded into half to make the entire card of 7″ x 5″ dimension
  2. Some extra white card-stocks for dying, die-cutting and layering
  3. A piece of 5″ x 6″ white card stock for creating textured background
  4. Altenew Open Peony Layering Die Set
  5. Altenew Bold Thanks Die Set
  6. Fairy Dust Dew Drops
  7. Liquid adhesive
  8. A die cutting machine
  9. Scissors
  10. Alchohol colors
  11. Foam tape

Looking into the steps I’ve followed…

  • I’ve started the process with piecing the papers for base and front panel in mentioned dimension.
  • To create the background I’ve texture brushed 3 strokes of sky blue, pale green and craft brown water color in a very soft tone on my front panel. Then I’ve used some golden strokes around it’s edges. After the colors are dried, I’ve glued the panel on base aligning to the right.
  • Then I’ve taken a piece of white card stock and run it through my die-cutting machine with all the pieces of Altenew Open Peony Layering Die Set.
  • I’ve then randomly colored the petals with shimmery water color of sky blue hue; also the leaves with green and flower center with yellow.
  • After they dried, I played with the leaves and flower for a while till I was happy with the placement and glued all them down on the bottom left of the water-colored front panel.
  • At this point I cut the frame and text of the Bold Thanks die set, took 3 cutouts for layering to add dimension.
  • Then I’ve glued the sentiment on the top right of the card focal object.
  • And finally I’ve embellished the card with Fairy Dust Dew Drops in random placement.

The making was really a short and simple process but I’m in love with the outcome…… I hope you like it too!!! Happy Crafting!!!

With Love…

Rumana Amin.
