Hello, dear Chattering Robins, it’s Sadia. I hope you are having a wonderful day today! Today, I’m excited to share a tutorial for creating a beautiful heart-shaped card adorned with delicate blooms. Let’s dive right in!

Handmade card

Materials Needed:

  • Black cardstock
  • White cardstock
  • Heart-shaped die
  • Altenew Radial circle cover dies
  • Ink blending tools
  • Ink in coordinating colors
  • Altenew Plum Blossom dies set (or similar floral dies)
  • Metallic dew drops
  • Sentiment stamp or sticker
  • Adhesive

Dew drops

Instructions:

  1. Create the Card Base: Start by cutting a heart-shaped card base from black cardstock using a heart-shaped die. This will be the foundation of your card.
  2. Prepare the Card Panels: Cut a slightly smaller heart from white cardstock to use as the card panel. Then, using radial circle cover dies, create another layer by cutting out a smaller heart shape within the white heart panel.
  3. Ink Blending: Use ink blending tools to blend ink onto the circle patterned card panel. Choose colors that complement the flowers you’ll be adding later for a cohesive look.
  4. Die Cut the Flowers and Leaves: Using the Altenew Plum Blossom die set (or your preferred floral dies), die cut several flowers and leaves from white cardstock.
  5. Add Color: Use ink blending tools to add color to the flower petals and leaves. Blend gently to create a gradient effect and add depth to your blooms.
  6. Attach Dew Drops: Adorn the center of each flower with metallic dew drops to add a touch of elegance and dimension.
  7. Assemble the Card: Attach the ink-blended card panel onto the black heart-shaped card base using adhesive. Then, layer the smaller heart panel on top.
  8. Arrange Flowers and Leaves: Arrange the die-cut flowers and leaves onto the card, positioning them in a pleasing arrangement. Experiment with different placements until you’re satisfied with the look.
  9. Add Sentiment: Finish off your card by attaching a sentiment stamp or sticker on the card. Choose a heartfelt message that complements the theme of your card.
  10. Final Touches: Take a moment to ensure everything is securely attached and aligned. Make any final adjustments to ensure your card looks polished and professional.

And there you have it – a stunning heart-shaped card adorned with beautiful blooms! This handmade card is perfect for sending heartfelt messages to your loved ones on any occasion. Have fun crafting, and don’t forget to share your creations with us!

Happy crafting!
