Hello Chattering Robins! This is Sadia here today, and I have a new card tutorial for you. I used Goldenberry Dew Drops from the Robins Nest Creative store on today’s card. Let’s create today Maroon Elegance with Mini Flowers.

Handmade card

Materials Needed:

  • Maroon card base
  • Black card panel
  • Pink paper
  • Mini flower die-cuts
  • Bone folder
  • Golden dew drops
  • Circle dies
  • Stamping sentiment
  • Slightly larger circle die-cut
  • Metallic watercolor
  • Adhesive

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Prepare Your Base: Start with a maroon card base. Ensure it’s folded neatly for a professional finish.
  2.  Create Textured Black Card Panel: Take the black card panel and add texture using a bone folder. Simply run the bone folder over the surface with gentle pressure to create a subtle textured effect.
  3. Adorn with Mini Flowers: Arrange and adhere the mini flower die-cuts onto the black card panel in a visually pleasing manner. These will be the focal points of your card.
  4. Add Sparkle to Flower Centers: Enhance the flowers by placing golden dew drops at their centers. This adds a touch of elegance and dimension.
  5. Die Cut Circles for Sentiment: Using circle dies, cut out two concentric circles from contrasting cardstock. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto the smaller circle.
  6. Watercolor Accent: Take the slightly larger circle and color it with metallic watercolors. This will serve as a vibrant background for your sentiment.
  7. Assemble the Sentiment: Place the sentiment circle onto the watercolored circle, creating a layered effect. Ensure the stamping is clear and centered.
  8. Final Arrangement: Now, carefully arrange your textured black card panel with mini flowers onto the maroon card base. Play with the placement until you find a composition you like.
  9. Attach the Sentiment: Affix the sentiment in a strategic location on the card. This could be near the flowers or at a visually appealing angle.
  10. Finishing Touch: Double-check the overall arrangement, making any necessary adjustments. Once satisfied, firmly press down on all elements to secure them in place.

Your elegant maroon and black handmade card with mini flowers is now ready to impress!

Thanks for coming by today. If this card tutorial inspires you, then don’t forget to create your own version of this card.  Have a wonderful crafty time!
