Hello friends. Aimee here with an adorable (If I do say so myself 😁) little mixed media canvas.

Want to create this little cutie? (You can watch the video here.)

Let’s go!

First, you’ll need a 4×4″ surface- a piece of wood, thick chipboard, a canvas, etc. Once you’ve chosen a surface, trim your flower canvas down to fit. You’ll lose a little of the design at the edges but it’s still cute as can be. Use matte medium, Mod Podge, or other liquid glue to adhere your canvas to the surface. Place under weight to dry.

Once dry, coat the canvas with clear gesso or spray with hair spray.

Choose some acrylic paints- blue(s) for your background, green for the leaves, a yellow or orange for the flower centers, and a color for your flowers.

Using watered down acrylic paints, paint your canvas.

I did the background first, then the leaves, then the flower petals, and last the flower centers.

Allow to dry.

Now, get your Dew Drops and sequins! Using Dew Dew Glue add Dew Drops (and sequins if desired) to your project.

Now choose a word or phrase to add.

I used a Tim Holtz word chip, but use what you’d like. Print something out on the computer, stamp a sentiment, use a sticker. Whatever you use, just be sure to mount it onto something heavy like thick chipboard.

Once your sentiment is ready, add it to your project with a good glue.
