Hi there! Aimee here with a fun little mixed media piece.

I picked up a wooden 5×7 frame at Goodwill a few weeks ago. It’s real wood and actually kind of heavy. I painted it with a blue chalk paint and some regular black acrylic and  worked well for this piece of crafty art.

It was a lot of fun checking out my new team goodies and playing around. I did a little unboxing video, you can see it here  if ya want to.

I chose a canvas with an abstract design. I colored it with Dyluisons paints, some Tattered Angels shimmer mist, and Distress Glitter. I traced over the printed lines once my background paint was dry to make it come to the front.

I used goodies from three different bottles of Dew Drops, and they look so pretty.

The white piece behind the sentiment is actually from the inside of a frame die cut.
Always keep those insides! They can come in handy.
The large flower is die cut from Grungepaper with a
cute premade flower in the center (Maggie Holmes).
Sentiment is from Tim Holtz.
I’m pretty pleased with this little piece of art.
The quality of the canvas is very good, and holy heck do ya get a
TON of drops in a bottle of Dew Drops.
I hope you enjoy this and that it sparks your creative brain a little bit.
Remember, be excellent to each other, and go make something!
