My today’s make is probably one having used minimum supplies but maximum time consumed, since it’s a pencil colored monochrome card!
Hello dear crafters! Rumana here once again with a monochrome – good day – wish card embellished with Fresh Mowed Grass Dew Drops ….. Hope you enjoy the detail!!!
Here’s what I’ve used to make it!!!
- A 5″ x 14″ Pastel green card base, folded into half to make the entire card of 5″ x 7″ dimension
- A 4.5″ x 6.5″ Pastel green paper for creating the front panel
- Any large flower bunch stamp-set
- A set of color pencils (Any brand would do)
- Torn Edge Rectangle Nesting die set
- A piercing cover-plate die
- “It’s a good day to have a good day” sentiment stamp
- Some extra Pastel green card stock for die-cutting sentiment
- Fresh Mowed Grass Dew Drops
- Liquid adhesive
- A die cutting machine
- Foam tape
Looking into the steps I’ve followed…
- I’ve started the process with piecing the paper for card base in mentioned dimension.
- Then I’ve taken a piece of pastel green card stock and run it through my die-cutting machine with 4.5″ x 6.5″ Torn Edge Rectangle die.
- I have stamped the outline of large flower bunch stamp-set on the torn edge cutout.
- Then I’ve colored the entire flower bunch using shades of green. I chose to keep the centers and edges darker and blended the middles in lighter tones. After the coloring is done, I’ve run the paper through my die-cutting machine with a piercing cover-plate die to add some extra interest.
- At this point I stamped the “It’s a good day to have a good day” sentiment on a Pastel green piece of card stock. Cut it using it’s coordinating frame die. I took 3 cutouts to stack them up for adding dimension.
- Then I’ve glued the sentiment on the bottom right of the card front panel.
- The entire front panel I finally have attached on the folded card base using foam tape.
- And as last step I’ve embellished the card with Fresh Mowed Grass Dew Drops in random placement.
This is not a type of card I often try making. I’m in love with the outcome…… hope you like it too!!! Happy Crafting!!!
With Love…
Rumana Amin.
