Hi there! I’m once again here with another Dew drop project… I’ve designed this exquisite Eid al-Fitr greeting card which is a delightful blend of tradition and creativity. The card boasts a turquoise color, evoking feelings of serenity and celebration. I’ve used circular cut-out that reveals the words “Eid Mubarak” in cursive, purple lettering. The dew drops added a subtle sparkle, symbolizing the joy of Eid. I’ve embellished my card with a graceful purple flower with delicate green leaves that represents growth, beauty, and the blossoming of faith during Ramadan.
Here’s what I’ve used to make it!!!
- A 5″ x 14″ Turquoise card stock for card base, folded into half to make the entire card of 5″ x 7″ dimension
- Another piece of Turquoise card stock for front panel having dimension 4.5″ x 6.5″
- Some white card stock papers for die cutting
- Eid Mubarak die set
- Cone flower die set
- Purple Mini Dew Drops
- Liquid adhesive
- Mounting tape
- A die cutting cum embossing machine
- Mini blossoms embossing folder
- Circle die cutter having 3″ radius
- Watercolor for coloring flower
Looking into the steps I’ve followed…
- I’ve started the process with piecing paper for card base and front panel in mentioned sizes.
- To prepare the front panel, I first cut the center of it with the circle die. Then embossed the panel using Mini blossoms embossing folder.
- Then I’ve attached the front panel to the card base using some mounting tape to add depth.
- I have cut out 3 layers for each of the Eid Mubarak die set and stacked them up with glue to add dimension. Then I’ve colored the top of the sentiment with 3 tones of purple and lavender.
- Then the same way I have cut out the Cone flower die set. I’ve colored the pieces of petals with purple and lavender. I chose a combo of brown, yellow and orange to color the center of the flower. I used bottle green and mint to shade the leafs. After the coloring is done, I’ve glued down the pieces of flowers to hold them together.
- While fixing the flower on the card panel, I took care of it’s petals fluff with the help of tiny tapes. Same did I do in case of the Eid Mubarak sentiment.
- I then glued the elements to fix those permanently.
- And finally I’ve embellished the card with Purple Mini Dew Drops in random placement around the sentiment.
That’s kind of it about today’s project! Have a Blessed Ramadan and Blissful Eid!!!
With Love…
Rumana Amin.
