Hello crafty friends Cheryl here and I’m super excited to be sharing my 1st project with you all for the The Robins Nest Creative. My project today is a sweet thank you Gift bag using lots of dew drops, and tear drops. I also did 2 videos , one is showing how I made this gift/treat bag, and the other shows how I decorated it up. I do hope you enjoy them both.

Instructions on Gift /Treat bag

Base of bag

To start with you will need a 5″ x 12″ card stock for the bag part. Score it at 5 1/2″ ,  and  6 1/2″ . Next I put both top edges together and used a border die, you can use a punch or die. If you are using a die, only run the top part through the machine as to not get the bottom in, as shown in my video. The 1st bag I went ahead and cut out the oval before attaching the design paper, however in my video i did it after, you can choose what way you like.

Layers on bag

1st layer of design paper is cut at 4 3/4″ wide X 5″ tall. I then cut the top using the die like on bag. Now glue your piece in place. Cut oval handle out, if your die wont go through 3 layers, run it through again, placing the die over the part that didn’t cut. Next I cut my black border layer to measure 4 3/4″ x 2 3/8″ , design paper  is cut at 4 3/4″ x 2 1/8″, layer these using the design paper on top of the card stock. I love adding white dots to the black card stock. Lastly I added borders that I punched out. Now I for the fun part, adding mini dew drops to the handle using liquid glue and set aside to dry. You can place your border that is all attached to the bag ,then add dew drops to that (white punched borders) on your layered piece. Lastly I added my frames and sentiment.

Decorate
Now its time to decorate with greenery and flowers. I did add some green Robins Nest Creative tear drops to the leaves of my greenery, love the look of this. hot glue all the flowers, and the bow to the top. Now you’re done. I Love working the the dew drops as they are so much fun and add just the right touch to your projects.
