Hello Chattering Robins! It’s Sadia back here today, and I am excited to be sharing a new handmade card, using a few techniques to add interest to your cards. The techniques I used on this card to create interest are ink blending, dry embossing, and adding dew drops. This week, I used River Blue Mini Dew Drops, Neon Blue Mini Dew Drops on my card, and these dewdrops were created to give a bright, yet graceful, look into projects.
Supplies:
- White card base
- White card paper
- White card panel
- Flower, and leaf, dies
- Sizzix embossing folder
- ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Faded Jeans’ Distress Inkpad by Tim Holtz
- Blending brush
- Sentiment stamp
- Clear embossing ink pad
- Silver embossing powder
- River Blue Mini Dew Drops
- Neon Blue Mini Dew Drops
Card Instructions:
In this handmade card project, I started by ink blending on the card front with ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Faded Jeans’ Tim Holtz distress oxide ink pads. Afterward, I run the ink blended card panel through Sizzix embossing folder. After that, I die-cut flower petals on white card paper and assembled the flowers. Consequently, I glued dew drops to the flower center. After that, I added the card panel on the card base front using liquid flue. Then, I arranged the flowers on the card front. I also added a stamped and heat embossed, sentiment on the lower right side of the card. finally, I added a few more dew drops to the card to decorate.
After seeing this handmade card, I hope you’ll be inspired to be creative with your dew drops. Have you ever used your dew drops this way before? Do you have other card-making techniques with dew drops? Please share them in the comments section!
Thank you for taking the time to visit today!
