Color Your Peaceful Ideas Canvas with alcohol ink markers

Prepare your background.  I worked outside of my art journal and adhered it later, you could choose to work this in your art journal exclusively.  I stenciled a design onto the background with texture paste, let it dry and colored the untextured areas with watercolor.  In hind site, I could have done the opposite, watercolor and then texture.  Entirely your preference!
Once everything is dry you will cut the lightbulb out from it’s canvas.  Then you can layer as you wish.
My first layer over the background is a dried wet wipe I used for watercolor clean up.  I saved it because I thought it looked cool.  It made a great next layer.  It is adhered with wet adhesive.
Next I added a layer of netting.  To get it to lay the way I wanted it to, I centered a small button in the middle of the netting and wrapped the netting tightly and tied close to the button.  This allowed me to spread out the netting and I was able to adhere it only in the center using the button base.
Next I placed the canvas lightbulb, adhering it with liquid adhesive.  And added Washi tape dots.

Now the fun part.  Add Dew Drops.  I added them over the Washi tape clusters I made in the last step.  You could add more or less depending on your personal preference.

Finally, one the piece is dry, I adhered it in my art journal.  Here are a few close ups of the fabulous texture!

Have a creative week!
Artistically yours,
Victoria
