I’m very excited to be a part of this Team!
These products are so fun and versatile, the projects on this blog, from the many talented designers are sure to inspire.

My first project is easy. Made from a recycled bottle, makes a great night-light and gift.

SUPPLY LIST:

Robin’s Nest Dew Drops (greens and browns)

Empty Bottle (This one is an empty Crown Royal bottle)
E-6000 Adhesive
Adirondack Alcohol Ink – Bottle (color) by Ranger Ink
Misc: mini lights and green fibers

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Remove all labels and adhesive residue from the bottle.
2. Lay the bottle on it’s side and apply E-6000 adhesive to the flat are in the center of the bottle in the shape of a tree. It’s best to work in small sections, so the adhesive doesn’t dry while you’re arranging the Dew Drops.  I did the trunk first, then 3 sections of the “leaves”, working bottom to top. Let dry completely.
3. Apply alcohol ink to the rest of the bottle with a sponge or felt cloth. Let it set for a few hours.
4. Unravel the mini-lights and feed them inside the bottle. The small 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ battery pack is adhered horizontally along the base of the back of the bottle and is not visible from the front view.

5. Put the cap on the bottle. It may not completely tighten down because of the wire in the lights. Don’t over tighten, you don’t want to damage your lights. Secure half way and embellish the left over space with a bow of ribbon or fibers.

My design was a tree, but with the many color options of Dew Drops, the possibilities are endless. Also, the tree is only on one side of the bottle. I didn’t want the illuminated vision to be muddled with a background.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Blog today. I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project. Hey! While you’re here, check out some of the other great projects by the Design Team.
