Hello and welcome to the blog – hope you are faring well during the current world madness and using lock down and quarantine time to relax and feed your creative soul!

Shelly with you today sharing a scrapbook layout with 3 different techniques using Dew Drops.  This layout features our newest family member – Sugar, but who really goes by Tiny Cat and more recently Puddle ( because she is getting a little pudgy and when she lays down, she turns into a puddle) and isn’t she a beauty!

Technique #1 FLOWER CENTERS:

This is a no-brainer!  Dew Drop Originals and Minis make PERFECT flower centers for ANY medium!

Use one or multiple – same color or contrasting color – it is a nice sparkly, dimensional touch to any flower embellishment.

For this layout, I created layered flowers using stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations and used green mini dew drops for my flower centers.

Technique #2 TONE ON TONE Dimension:

I love popping a Drew Drop of the same color onto parts of my layout for some added “oomph!” and  a little extra surprise.  Black Dew Drops on a black background is a great, subtle design choice – check out my black stripes!

Technique #3 SPOT LIGHT  Color from your photo

There is no denying the single, striking feature of my photo is my cat’s different colored eyes – that one crazy blue eye!  I have not used any blue in this layout – instead, I have popped some blue Dew Drops in strategic places on the layout to make you really notice that blue eye!

Machine stitching is another favorite technique to add texture to a layout

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  Have a creative week!

Shelly
