Valentine’s Day Stepper Card Using Dew Drops

Hello Chattering Robins! A very good morning to you all from Bangladesh. Can you feel the love in the air? That’s right! I am back to share with you a Valentine’s day themed card for the month of love.

A look into the card

This is a very fun card to make, known as stepper card. For the base I followed a layout from Pinterest, which you’ll come across if you search for “Stepper card templates”. It’s a very interesting card, because it contains so much of matting – my favorite crafting technique.

After cutting out the base from the black cardstock, I matted it using a slightly smaller red cardstock panels. Following that I embossed white panels, which are slightly smaller than the red ones to layer it on.

Subsequently, I proceeded with the wedding theme in mind, since the embossing reminded me of a wedding. Also I decorated the card using various kinds of dew drops! For the dress-like hearts I used the mini silver dew drops from the Cotton Candy Dew Drop Assortment. As for the bottom border and the flower centers I used the pearl white mini dew drops from the same collection.
The card still felt a little empty, therefore, I added the red diamond dew drops on two corners of the card from the Ace of Diamonds Dew Drop Assortment.
At last just like the outside, I matted the inside part of the card as well, and similarly embellished it using some dew drops diamonds from the Ace of Diamonds assortment.
Dew drops truly take the card to another level, for that reason, I had so much fun embellishing this card using variety of dew drops!
Especially if you like my card don’t forget to check out the dew drops I’ve used, and get started on your own dew drop project at The Robin’s Nest Creative .
