Hi Girls,
It’s Karen…Come along with me and I’ll show you how to create a fabulous shaker embellishment using Dew Drops.  My little niece is a camera flirt…and I hope she stays that way.  She was blowing bubbles with her Grammy after an afternoon of swimming with her Aunt and being even more adorable than usual.  If you’ve never made a shaker, they add a lovely kinetic element to your pages and it gives the viewer a little surprise when all the elements clink and wiggle.

Supplies:
Raindrop Dew Drops

Directions:

1. Matte a piece of patterned paper with red cardstock. Use a white gel pen to doodle a dotty border around the edge.
2. Use a circle die to crop 4 photos. Matte 1 rectangular photo with coordinating paper.

3. Select the circle photo that will become the shaker. Cut out a circular frame of craft foam the same size as the photo.
Adhere the circular frame over the photo.

4. Then, add a selection of Dew Drops and small embellishments like sequins, gems, beads, paper circles, or confetti. Cut a piece of acetate and adhere it to the frame to enclose the tiny bits.
(TIP: Make sure to double check that none of the tiny embellishments are thicker than the foam frame or they won’t be able to slide around freely.)

5.  Add a red paper frame over the acetate to finish off the shaker.

6.  Adhere the shaker and then embellish the layout with large bubbles, a cluster of embellishments on the main photo, and Dew Drops.

Other Supplies:
5 photos
die cutting machine
multiple sizes of circle dies
craft foam & acetate
small paper dots
pattern paper & red cardstock
white gel pen
liquid adhesive
